At the moment the operational ability of SET IMPIANTI is about 360 units, available until 500 to face every need of the customer.

SET Impianti has a well articulated staff structure. The organizing structure has been defined through responsibility centres, organized as autonomous operative centres, acting following prefixed aims, on the base of which the supervisors act with the maximum autonomy for their achievement.

Each unit is strongly integrated in the whole company structure, interacting with the other ones to achieve the lines of the strategy and the politics chosen at a global level. The unification of some functions and their dependence from a single responsibility centre has definitely improved the operative effectiveness of the whole company. The responsibility centres, whose relevance is secondary, have been entrusted to the supervising of the owners of the interested areas, as happened, for example, for the purchase office and the warehouse management. Every interested area has an extremely slim and autonomous configuration. In particular, the production area is under the supervision of the technical manager, who coordinates its activity. Every production phase has a figure to control and manage the process: the planning and the technical office, the workshops, the construction sites, the welding sector and the Purchase and Warehouse one are managed by a manager. The centralized management of the sensitive areas has always found a wide application in many companies. SET Impianti is far from this model thanks to the ability of making operational every single area, delegating its management and control to single individuals, controlled by the business vertex, as you can see in the preceding figure 1. The Administration area deals with the ordinary mansions of accounting as invoice issue and registration, first bill and construction site accounting. The close Staff office deals mainly with the employers payments. The Administration office deals with banks, besides managing the company finance. The general accounting is entrusted to external professional people, so is the job consultancy. Depending on the same sector is the Quality office, that takes care of documents and tests necessary to certify the plants produced by Set Impianti and carries out and maintains a system of “quality management” in accordance with the standard UNI EN ISO 9001:2000. All the plants have to answer to specific standards of safety and reliability to obtain the certification by the control body, currently the ISPESL, and bodies recognized for PED and/or ATEX practice. By the way, it’s useful to underline that our Quality manager has the qualification to prepare the necessary documents to have the certification. The commercial area has the task of planning the marketing strategy and the determination of correction measures, the management of the orders and the research of new market opportunities. This office is the natural interface between SET IMPIANTI and its customers. The RPPS (Risks Prevention and Protection Service) produces all the necessary documents to open a construction site about risks preventions standards. There’s also a SHE (Safety Health Environment) Committee that deals with the organization of construction sites under the safety profile, teaching workers through periodic seminars and planning the correct waste disposal. The productive structure has the task of assemblage and welding of the various components of the product, and of construction and maintenance of every single part of a plant. The production and maintenance areas have all the necessary equipments to carry out ordinary and extraordinary actions.
